Scott Taylor joined with Ross Rerrett to Master Plan, design, Document and Administer the development of the Resort’s 18 Hole Links character Golf Course.
Master Planning with the Architects involved a week long workshop in Hawaii for the resolution of the Resort’s and Golf Course Landscape to be completely integrated into the adopted theme and natural environment:
The flood plan of Hope Island availed the site alluvial soils of quality for re-use, although little existing vegetation.
Endemic native species were used throughout to enclose the individual holes and direct the golf play of this Tournament Course.
The Clubhouse Landscape expressed the adopted ‘Venetian City’ theme whilst maintaining relevance to the natural environment.
A close relationship with Thomson Wolveridge was developed over the construction of the Course with minor golf strategy amendments managed in-situ.
