Scott Taylor was appointed by the Construction Manager to enhance and enliven the Landscape character of The Palms Course in this exclusive resort.
The open pasture meadows of the site were transformed into 18 Holes of recreational/ Resort Golf play with the theming strongly reliant on the palm dominance of the vegetation.
The relatively generous, open fairways called for strategic placement of mature palm stuck for visual influence and stimulation for the golfer.
Specific holes called for unique and ‘radical’ placement of palms to challenge the Resort Golf Patrons envisaged.
Mass plantings to the fairways edges to roads, utilities, maintenance faculties and neighbours enveloped the course and set in place the background for this distinct ‘Palm Springs’ character designed for the Course and Resort.
Complete design, documentation and administration was provided to the Construction Management Team on site.
